Offsite Improvements Bill

Signed into law in May of 2024, Public Chapter 820 requires local utilities departments may not demand offsite improvements from a new development unless the department executes a cost sharing agreement with the developer of the property. Further, utility departments MUST do this within 60 days of the application for a building permit.
